Flood situation in Segamat continues to improve
The flood situation in Segamat continues to improve with only one relief centre (PPS) remains in operations as at 8 pm tonight.
State Local Government, Urban Wellbeing and Environment Committee chairman Tan Chen Choon said this followed the closing of PPS in Kampung Tandong which saw all 58 people from 13 families returning to their respective homes.
As for the remaining PPS in Kampung Batu Badak, the number of evacuees has dropped to 30 individuals from seven families, compared to 88 flood victims from 20 families this afternoon, he said in a statement.
